To help maintain the quality and stability of your Snakewood, we recommend the following:

• Store in a stable environment away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and rapid temperature changes.
• Remove the protective wax coating before machining or applying a finish.
• Use sharp tools and avoid excessive heat during cutting, drilling, sanding, or shaping.
• Apply a finish as soon as possible after final sanding.
• Store finished projects in a stable, humidity-controlled environment.

Snakewood is an extremely dense natural hardwood. Changes in temperature and humidity can affect the wood over time, so proper storage and finishing are recommended.

Can I use the Snakewood immediately?
Yes. Our Snakewood is ready to be used, provided it is properly handled, acclimated, and finished for your specific application. For best results, we recommend following the guidance in our Snakewood Care Guide.

How is Snakewood dried?
Our Snakewood is naturally air-dried rather than kiln-dried. Some pieces have been air-dried for several years, while others have been drying for a shorter period. With proper handling and finishing, both are suitable for woodworking applications.
