Product description
Bring rare natural beauty to your next woodworking project with this premium Snakewood exotic hardwood block. Known for its dramatic snakeskin-like figure, rich reddish-brown color, and dark decorative markings, Snakewood is one of the most distinctive exotic hardwoods used by makers and collectors.
This piece is suitable for small premium projects where the natural grain can be fully showcased, including pen making, knife handle scales, jewelry accents, fine inlay, turning projects, musical instrument details, and decorative craftwork. Its dense structure and natural luster make it an excellent choice for high-end pieces that require a bold, luxury appearance.
Each Snakewood block is naturally unique, with variations in color, grain, figure, and markings. The product shown represents the natural beauty of the wood, but each piece may vary slightly due to the organic nature of exotic hardwood.
- RARE SNAKEWOOD FIGURE – Features a striking reddish-brown base with dark natural markings that create the signature snakeskin-style appearance Snakewood is known for.
- PREMIUM EXOTIC HARDWOOD BLOCK – A dense and highly valued hardwood suitable for detailed craftwork, turning, inlay, knife handles, pens, and decorative projects.
- NATURAL HIGH-END APPEARANCE – The rich color tone and bold figure make this wood ideal for luxury handmade items, collector pieces, and custom woodworking designs.
- IDEAL FOR SMALL CRAFT PROJECTS – Perfect for makers, woodturners, luthiers, pen makers, knife makers, jewelry artisans, and hobby woodworkers.
- UNIQUE PIECE EVERY TIME – Each block has natural variation in grain, color, markings, and pattern, giving every finished project a one-of-a-kind look.
Care Instructions
To help maintain the quality and stability of your Snakewood, we recommend the following:
- Store in a stable environment away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and rapid temperature changes.
- Remove the protective wax coating before machining or applying a finish.
- Use sharp tools and avoid excessive heat during cutting, drilling, sanding, or shaping.
- Apply a finish as soon as possible after final sanding.
- Store finished projects in a stable, humidity-controlled environment.
Snakewood is an extremely dense natural hardwood. Changes in temperature and humidity can affect the wood over time, so proper storage and finishing are recommended.

Product FAQ
Will I receive the exact piece shown?

Can I use the Snakewood immediately?
Yes. Our Snakewood is ready to be used, provided it is properly handled, acclimated, and finished for your specific application. For best results, we recommend following the guidance in our Snakewood Care Guide.
